Francis Otoo

Francis is a fourth-year student pursuing a Computer Engineering degree. He interned with AWS in Seattle last year, and he will be going back to work there this summer in their New York office. As he approaches his final semester at UMD in Fall 2025, he is strongly considering pursuing a master's degree in Quantum Computing or Machine Learning. Research on AI/ML and quantum computing is one of his interests; he is especially interested in seeing how these domains may support and improve one another. He holds the position currently as the Tech Chair at BES, having previously been the Membership Chair. His main hobbies outside of school are playing video games, building computers, and playing and watching sports.
