Under the umbrella of our three E’s (Empower, Engineer, Exceed), we strive to offer future resources to uplift and support underrepresented students as they pursue a degree in Engineering. Maintaining a robust network of engineering professionals, corporate sponsors and donors is essential to our ability to grow the impact of our mission each year.
Position Overview
The Project Engineering Intern will serve as integral part of the BTX Foundation by providing direct support to the BTX Board of Directors. This internship will provide the opportunity for a passionate, creative, and adaptable individual to learn more about nonprofit management through research, project management, and data analysis as well as sponsor communication. The Project Engineering intern will develop strong relationships with the Board of Directors and obtain access to key insight in a professional and academic environment.
Responsibilities
· Research applicable nonprofit grant / sponsorship opportunities
· Develop data analytics dashboards to track grant and sponsorship application performance
· Assist with event planning and coordination for fundraising events
· Manage the social media end-to-end process from content creation to media platform integration
· Provide administrative support to the BTX Board of Directors
Requirements
· Undergraduate student at UMD
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Google Suite
· Ability to collaborate cross functionality
· Effective Communication and Writing Skills
Desired but not required
· Strong knowledge of media engagement and content creation
· Nonprofit management experience
